If your daily carrier is an Android powered smartphone, then we have some great news for you! Google has decided to release a new update for the Play Store which comes with a handful of software improvements which make the service run better than usual. Considering that the Play Store is a staple feature of the Android operating system, we think it’s safe to say that all Android users need to head over to Google’s official APK website and get the update as soon as possible.
Google Play Store 13.1.32 Update
The new update for the Play Store changes the service’s build number to 13.1.32 and it can be downloaded for free. Since this is in an APK update, all Android users need to manually download and install it on their smartphones. Even though having to manually install updates on your smartphone might be annoying, it’s a small price to pay in order to get access to all the latest software tweaks for the Play Store ahead of everyone else.

APK is an acronym that stands for “Android Package Kit” and as previously mentioned, the update is not being rolled out OTA (over the air). The reason why this new Play Store update needs to be manually downloaded and installed is because Google releases updates in the form of APK as a way to give eager Android users a chance to test out new features, bug fixes and software tweaks ahead of everyone else.
Outside of having to manually download and install the update on a smartphone, the only other thing that Android users need to do is to open the mobile device’s Settings panel and to enable the “Unknown Sources” feature. The reason behind this is that APK updates are downloaded directly from Google’s official APK website and not from the Google Play Store which is the common source of updates.
