OxygenOS will also add popular Android 9 features like the improved gesture navigation, enhanced color customization and new in-UI option that can be selected individually.

When the OnePlus 5 and 5T were released the company promised that the devices will receive major updates for a period of two years, with one additional year for security update.
The latest update will also introduce a long-awaited Do Not Disturb mode. A revamped Contacts interface will allow users to assign a specific contact or group of contacts to a specific SIM.
Quality –of- life improvements are also coming with the latest patch. New apps like Discord, IMO and Ola among others will be now supported by the parallel app features.
Users that faced annoying problems that affected the weather widget will be happy to now that the bugs have been removed. The widget will now be able to display the correct weather according to the location of the devices.
It is expected that a stable build will be released before January 2019.
