Based on some recent statements, we might expect the next Dragon Age game to be revealed at the Game Awards this week. However, according to a new report, it looks like Dragon Age 4 will not come out until 2021.
The fourth Dragon Age just isn’t ready yet
Even though Dragon Age 4 is being developed for at least one year, its development has been postponed, since BioWare is focusing on Anthem at the moment. We know from a post by VentureBeat that, due to the fact that not much work was done on the game, Dragon Age 4 will most likely not be out for the next three years.
What about a Game Awards announcement?
We aware of the fact that it might be too early to hear about Dragon Age at the Game Awards event this week, given the stage at which the game currently is. Nevertheless, it is likely to have at least a little bit of news from BioWare at the award show.
Looking forward to Dragon Age 4
Earlier this year we’ve had some tweets from BioWare’s bosses, Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah, which indicated that a new Dragon Age game is in the works. We may count those posts as an official confirmation of the game, even though the messages were not very clear about it.
Last week we also saw a blog post written by Hudson, mentioning that the studio is “working on some secret Dragon Age stuff […] Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look)”. So, for now, we just have to wait and see what happens next, and we’re definitely looking forward to The Game Awards 2018, which happens on Friday. We know for a fact that the fans of Dragon Age cannot wait to see what will be announced during the event.
