You Might Lose Your Pokémon When You Transfer Them from Go to Let’s Go

According to Nintendo, it is crucial not to interrupt the process of transferring our Pokémon from Pokémon Go to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Let’s Go, Eevee, as we might end up losing some of them in case the transfer was not done smoothly, but was somehow paused.

How to avoid any problems while transferring Pokémon

All users who want to make sure that all their Pokémon will be successfully transferred from Pokémon Go to Pokémon Let’s Go should visit Nintendo’s support website, where the company provided some best practices for this process. First of all, once we initiate the transfer, we should not click the power or home button on our Switch. Also, we must avoid pressing the home button, suspending the app on our mobile device or turn off Bluetooth. Another important thing to do is to keep our Switch console and mobile device in short distance during the transfer process, which will make it faster and safer.

What to do if something went wrong

If users are careful and follow Nintendo’s advice, the transfer process should be completed without any complications. However, in case the transfer has been stopped or some Pokémon were not moved to Let’s Go, the company advises to close the Pokémon Go app and uninstall it. Once we reinstall the app, we should be able to resume the transfer. Unfortunately, any Pokémon that were not fully moved to Let’s Go may be completely lost, “as uninstalling and reinstalling the app would cause the transfer process to be stuck in limbo”.

Since it is always better to avoid the risk at any cost, we strongly recommend to follow the advice that Nintendo gave us. After all, losing a Pokémon friend could be a sad experience for some users.
