A One-time Event Will Mark the End of Fortnite’s Halloween Mode

As it was announced by Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, their Halloween event, Fortnitemares, which will come to an end this weekend, will be concluded with “the one-time event” on Sunday at 1 PM ET.

The special Halloween event

Fortnitemares, which started last week, has changed this hugely popular game in a dramatic way. The map was filled with dangerous crystals that created crowds of monsters that resemble zombies. This perfectly shows that the battle royale game can completely change its scenery in the blink of an eye.

The one-time event will start at 1 PM ET on Sunday

In their tweet posted on October 31st, Epic Games announced that “Fortnitemares in Battle Royale ends on Sunday, November 4, at 1 PM ET (6 PM UTC). Finish your Fortnitemares Challenges by then to unlock the Dark Engine Glider. Login early and be in-match to witness the one-time event which starts at 1 PM ET (6 PM UTC).”

This is not the first one-time event in Fortnite

It is important to note that the upcoming one-time event will not be the first that took place in the game. The fans of Fortnite had a chance to witness their special moment back in June, when a highly anticipated rocket launch was concluded with a dramatic riff in the sky, which resulted in various changes in the game. This is a proof that Fortnite does not necessary need a traditional narrative to present its own original stories.

It is not known what exactly will happen during the one-time event on Sunday, as Epic Games did not provide us with any details in their tweet. However, judging by the rest of Fortnight’s sixth season, all fans of the game should prepare themselves, as it could be something truly worth of seeing.
