An icon depicting an iPad that has no home button, no notch and rounded corners could be already spotted on iOS 12’s fifth beta, but it was a very small image that was created for the battery widget, so it did not provide us with any details regarding the upcoming 2018 iPad Pro. However, another icon has just been discovered inside of iOS, this time giving us a much better idea as to what we should expect from the next iPad Pro design-wise.
A new icon discovered within iOS
An icon, which was just found in the iOS, offers us more detailed information about the design of the upcoming iPad Pro, expected to be unveiled by Apple during its event on October 30th in New York. The icon depicts this device with nicely rounded corners, no notch and no home button.
The bezels seem to be larger
Another interesting detail that we can see on the icon is the surprisingly big size of bezels, compared to some of the recent iPhones. This, however, could be just a result of the way the icon was created, using thicker lines so that they can be visible at smaller sizes. After all, the same thing happened last year with the glyph of the iPhone X.
A sleep/wake button will remain at the top
The icon also shows us the position of the sleep/wake button, which is still going to be placed at the top, unlike the recent iPhones that have a multifunctional side button. Of course, this could be simply a design decision for the upcoming iPad, but there is still a possibility that this device will have a side button after all.
At least we will not have to wait long to verify these assumptions, as we should learn everything about the next iPad Pro this Tuesday.
