Blockchain Smartphone is Launched by HTC

The first ever Android phone was launched ten years ago. Through that amount of time, HTC had been working on its smartphone powered by its own blockchain, dubbed Exodus.

How can you get the phone?

The early access release of Exodus 1 has finally and officially been announced by HTC. The company is releasing their first blockchain phone. If you want to get it, the preorders are opened on the company’s website. If you decide to preorder it, the phone will be shipped to you sometime at the beginning of December. However, if you want to purchase it, you can only do so using cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and bitcoin.

How will the phone be like?

The phone will be equipped with a QHD+ display measuring 6 inches, and it will also have an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor with 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM. Besides that, the battery life of the smartphone will be good as well as it will be packed with a 3,500mAh battery. Besides that, the phone will also come with an IP68 waterproof rating which can be found in other Android flagships sold by Google, Samsung and other mainstream phone manufacturers. The phone’s price is about $960, but as you will need to either pay with bitcoin or ethereum, the prices are 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH.

HTC Exodus was very proudly announced by its mother company earlier in May and was considered the world’s first native blockchain phone. This smartphone enables support for DApps (decentralized applications) such as CryptoKitties and can also be used as a hardware wallet for adopters of cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency fans might want to get their hands fastly on this phone as we do not know for how long it will be available.
